Job Details
· Weekly Gross Estimated Pay: $5,607
· Setting: Cardiothoracic Surgery
· Start Date: 01/20/2025
· Shift: 6A-6:30P or 6P-6:30A (3/12hr shifts/week. Usually 3 wknd shifts/months & 3 night shifts/month.)
· Duration: 26-week contract
Job Requirements
· Board Certification: Required (ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC for Nurse Practitioners)
· Licensure: Active California license required
· DEA Registration: Required
· Certifications: AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
· Experience: Minimum of 1 year in cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, cardiology, or critical care ICU
· Preferred Skills: Surgical procedural experience strongly preferred; endoscopic vein harvest (EVH) experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
· Assist Time: Minimal first assist time due to presence of two fellows on service.
· ICU Responsibilities: Approximately 50% of the role is dedicated to ICU duties.
· Rounding: Occasionally collaborates with heart failure, transplant, ICU, and mechanical circulatory support teams.
· Patient Management: Involves taking histories, physical exams, coordinating peri-operative care, responding to patient status changes, and ordering diagnostic tests and treatments
