Full Job Description
Remember how medicine used to be?
Working 9-5 with lunch breaks and leaving the office on time.
We remember it quite well because we still practice this way.
Join our team as a Family Practitioner at an independently owned private practice serving our community’s employees. No previous Occupational Medicine experience is required. We will train you!
This is a well reimbursed position with a signing bonus.
About Us:
Salem Occupational Health is an independent medical practice based in Salem Oregon that has been open for 25 years. We established strong relationships with our city’s biggest companies and organizations. Our reputation is what has made us so successful over the years and we work very hard to protect it.
As a privately owned medical practice, we have the flexibility to offer a variety of work schedules to meet the needs of our providers. Work-life balance has always been a focus at Salem Occupational Health, as we understand that job satisfaction is critical to maintaining our healthy work culture.
We currently have seven employees supporting two medical providers.
Job Title:
- Clinical Provider in Occupational Medicine.
Good stuff about our firm and the role:
- We are not big on stress. Our job is to provide excellent care for our patients, but our primary responsibility is to take care of ourselves and each other so that our patients get the attention and service they deserve. We practice happy medicine.
- We have a playful and fun environment. We take our work very seriously; ourselves, not so much.
- We are big on efficiency and doing more with less.
- We are innovative and are constantly looking for better ways to deliver more value to our clients and demonstrate that we care.
- Hours are flexible. If the work is getting done and communication is crystal clear, we can find ways to accommodate that thing called “life.”
- You will have a high level of ownership over your workflow and your growth path as a professional.
- You will receive substantial training and support. Many medical offices offer little supervision and training – we are different and want to set you up to succeed and thrive in your role. You will be expected to be a quick learner and hungry to grow and take on more responsibility.
- We are growing rapidly. You can expect to grow with us too, on all levels. Join us for the ride!
About you:
- You are looking for a position to grow into and stick with for years to come. We’re not going anywhere and we anticipate that your role will transform as you develop in the position.
- You care about how our clients experience working with us. Medical providers are not exactly top of mind when people think of “great customer service.” We are out to change that.
- We expect you to maintain company culture – to be awesome etc., friendly, be someone who is naturally thinking about how to “spruce up” the days of others, whether that’s both with our patients and or client companies. We are hopeful that you will support and expand the caring, thoughtful culture we have created thus far.
- You have heaps of intelligence and drive. You are communicative, take initiative and look for opportunities to make it better.
Role responsibilities:
· If you like to treat musculoskeletal injuries, this is the place for you.
· Approximately 35% of the practice involves work related physical examinations including CDL driving certificate exams.
We look forward to meeting you and discussing if Salem Occupational Health is a good fit for you!
