We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our pain management team.
Our patients are our priority, we offer quality medical services with a focus on functional restoration.Mitra Pain Management seeks to give people a second chance in life by working diligently to increase functionality while treating the patient as a whole, not a disease or symptom. Our multidisciplinary approach includes primarily interventional management options as well as conservative, medication management, and surgical or physical/occupational/behavior health therapy consultation where appropriate.
Position Overview: As a Physician Assistant in our pain management clinic, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various pain conditions. You will collaborate closely with physicians, MAs, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Your expertise and compassionate care will be vital in helping our patients achieve their health goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories.
- Assist in developing and implementing pain management plans, including medication management, recommending interventional procedures, and rehabilitation strategies.
- Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on pain management options and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current unrestricted PA license in North Carolina.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Previous experience in pain management or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
