Job SummaryWilmington Health, a premier healthcare provider in Coastal North Carolina, is seeking a skilled Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a stunning beach setting while delivering high-quality patient care in dermatology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including data collection and evaluation of skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancers.
- Perform diagnostic procedures and treatments, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and dermatological surgeries, while collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on skincare, disease prevention, and management of dermatological conditions, promoting awareness of skin health and wellness.
- Manage follow-up care for patients in both clinic and inpatient settings, ensuring continuity of care in dermatology practices.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Stay current with advancements in dermatology practices, including cosmetic dermatology, medical dermatology, and public health initiatives.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or eligible to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in dermatology.
- Previous experience in dermatology or related fields (such as primary care or hospital medicine) is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a dermatological setting.
