Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician’s Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team. The FNP/PA will provide primary and specialty care services, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education for individuals and families across the lifespan. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Reports To: Medical Director/Physician
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including patient history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing.
- Develop, implement, and manage patient care plans in collaboration with physician.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions for patients of all ages.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and other interventions according to established protocols and patient needs.
- Provide patient and family education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
- Perform minor procedures, such as suturing, wound care, and joint injections, as needed.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, including lab work, X-rays, and other imaging studies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatments, and progress notes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and optimize health outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education activities.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the delivery of healthcare services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the AANP , ANCC, or similar Physician Assistant board.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a family practice or primary care setting (preferred).
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
