Neurosurgery Physician Assistant Career Opportunity in North Bergen, NJJoin Hackensack Meridian Health’s Leading Neurosurgical Team

I’m partnering with Hackensack Meridian Health to recruit a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to join their well-established team at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity with an exceptional compensation package, ideal for candidates looking for positions in 2024/2025. Please note, new graduates will not be considered for this position; surgical experience as a PA is required.

Position Details:

• Schedule:
• 8-hour days, 5 days per week with flexibility on Fridays based on OR timing.
• Tuesday: Block surgery time, with potential for additional cases. Days may extend due to surgery or OR delays.
• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: Clinic days, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a lunch break.
• Friday: Flexible, adjusted if Tuesday exceeds 8 hours.
• Call Coverage:
• Shared with the attending, mostly phone-based during the week.
• One weekend per month for call, assisting with emergent surgeries and patient rounding in the hospital.
• The schedule is flexible to accommodate call responsibilities.

Compensation:

• Competitive base salary, depending on experience.
• Additional call pay based on the candidate’s flexibility and call availability.

Preferred Experience:

• Neurosurgery experience preferred.
• Candidates with general surgery or orthopedic experience (especially in ortho spine) will also be considered.
• Sorry, no new graduates—surgical experience as a PA is required.
