Progress Weight Management is the leading obesity medicine clinic in Fargo, ND, offering innovative, patient-centered care for individuals dealing with obesity and weight-related health issues. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team. This role offers the flexibility of part-time or full-time hours, making it ideal for individuals seeking work-life balance.

DUTIES

  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care for patients with obesity, including developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and coordinating with the healthcare team.
  • Patient Education: Offer patient education and counseling on lifestyle modifications, medical options, and long-term weight management strategies.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with other licensed providers and team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Follow-Up: Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and changing needs.

SKILLS

  • Patient-Centered Approach: A passion for providing compassionate, personalized care for patients dealing with obesity.
  • Thorough Knowledge of Anti-Obesity Medication Management: Expertise in managing pharmacological treatments for obesity.
  • Excellent Communication: Ability to explain complex medical concepts in a way patients can easily understand.
  • Team Player: Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of North Dakota.
  • Licensed in Minnesota or willing to obtain licensure in Minnesota.
  • Experience in weight management, endocrinology, or primary care preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Completion of additional certification through the Obesity Medicine Association is expected within one year of hire.
