Full Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in a busy Ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in ophthalmic care and a desire to grow in this specialty. You will work closely with our ophthalmologist and optometrist to provide high-quality eye care, assist patient management, and support various clinical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams and assessments under the supervision of an ophthalmologist.
  • Assist in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgery patients.
  • Educate patients on eye care, post-surgical recovery, and medication usage.
  • Assist with in-office procedures.
  • Coordinate patient care with ophthalmologist, optometrists, and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in patient follow-ups, including reviewing diagnostic tests and imaging.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in techniques in ophthalmology to provide evidence-based care.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) and active state license to practice as PA, or the ability to obtain state license before starting with practice.
  • Completion of an accredited PA program.
  • Previous experience or strong interest in ophthalmology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
