Full Job Description
An established orthopedic practice in Fort Myers, Florida is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. Candidates with previous surgical experience are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Full-time permanent position – spine surgery
- Monday-Friday schedule – mix of first-assisting in the OR and clinic duties
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose musculoskeletal conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
Qualifications:
- Florida State License
- 1-2 years of orthopedic surgery and/or neurosurgery experience
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
