Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic radiology practice in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will assist in performing a variety of minimally invasive procedures under imaging guidance, such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT. You will work alongside a team of interventional radiologists and medical professionals to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Candidates must have direct experience as an interventional radiology PA or other relevant experience such as a clinical rotation or background as a radiologic technologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing a wide range of Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures, including but not limited to biopsies, catheter placements, drain insertions, angiography, embolization, and more.
- Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring informed consent is obtained, answering any patient questions, and explaining the steps of the procedure.
- Operate and manage fluoroscopy equipment, ensuring precise imaging for the physician during the procedure.
- Monitor patients during and after procedures to ensure safety and address any complications that may arise.
- Collaborate with the IR team to create patient care plans, including pre- and post-procedure management.
- Perform follow-up visits, assess patient recovery, and manage any necessary aftercare or additional procedures.
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Stay current on best practices, technological advancements, and protocols in the field of Interventional Radiology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Active Physician Assistant (PA) License in the state of Nevada.
- Previous experience in interventional radiology or relevant radiology experience.
- Proficiency in imaging techniques, particularly fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques, radiologic safety, and patient care protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
