Full Job Description
Oneida Health is seeking a full-time, experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing primary care network in a hybrid role with a pediatrics component. In this position, you will provide day-to-day care as a Primary Care APP with 1 in 3 pediatric call (every third week). While on call, you will be responsible for responding to pediatric calls from our OB unit (24-hour pager) and nursery rounding in the morning as part of clinic hours. This position includes paid training to support growth in clinical skills for managing OB pediatric calls and nursery rounding. Outpatient pediatrics or OB experience is a big plus. Your home address must be less than 30 minutes driving time from 321 Genesee Street to meet the call requirement.
Compensation: $98,500 to $135,000 per year based on experience

What Youll be Great At:
- Assessing and establishing a presumptive diagnosis and implementing treatment plans.
- Newborn evaluations, including reviewing prenatal records to identify risks for the infant and performing physical examinations.
- Making accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and consults as appropriate and prescribing appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence-based practice.
- Prescribing, adjusting, or discontinuing medications or therapies as appropriate.
- Evaluating and reporting to physicians any circumstances, observations, or test results that present a significant risk to patient health or well-being.
- Performing procedures within the scope of practice of the physician assistant license.
- Communicating appropriate information to physicians, patients, PCP, and referring staff.
- Provide safe, ethical care and health education to patients and their families, instilling confidence in patients and acting as their advocates.

- Two years or more of Outpatient Pediatric or OB experience (Preferred)
