Seeking an experienced PA or NP to join Oregon Emergency Physicians (OEP), a democratic EM group dedicated to caring for patients at Providence Portland Medical Center, a large urban tertiary care hospital in Portland, Oregon. 1. This is a full-time position for morning/swing/evening mid-shifts, 12-13 shifts/month with opportunities for additional shifts.
2. Independently managing moderate and low acuity patients with immediate side-by-side physician support available in a well-staffed, large ED (>50 beds).
3. Competitive salary and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, CME, sick and vacation hours.
4. PA candidates are required to have at least a master’s degree from a training program accredited by the ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant) and have a current PA-C designation having passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE). Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in emergency medicine settings or have completed an emergency medicine residency accredited by the Association of Post Graduate PA Programs (APPAP).*
5. NP candidates are required to have at least a master’s degree from an accredited institution and have an FNP and/or Adult Acute Care NP certification/licensure. Candidates must have ENP-Certification along with at least 3 years of experience in emergency medicine settings.*

Opened in 1941, Providence Portland Medical Center is a 480+ bed facility providing some of the most advanced services in the region. The Emergency Department serves roughly 60,000 visits per year. Currently undergoing a top to bottom renovation, the department expects to further expand its already high acuity and coverage over the coming months.
