KC Medical Care has an immediate opening for experienced Nurse Practitioner interested in the Assisted living and Independent living practice. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide direct patient care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.
Job Responsibilities
- Functions independently to complete history and physical data on patients; performs complete physical exams; interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan
- Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient needs
- Works directly with care coordinator to ensure ancillary services are in place and timely
- Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
- Collaborates with physician in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients
- Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner
- Instructs and educates patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions
- Individual must become proficient in exercising autonomy in medical decision making and providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and follow established protocols
Skills:
- Strong clinical skills in providing direct patient care
- Knowledge of coding and billing practices in healthcare settings
- Excellent diagnostic evaluation skills
