Sacred Heart is home to the award-winning, NPR-affiliated radio station, WSHU, a Division I athletics program and an impressive performing arts program that includes choir, band, dance and theatre. www.sacredheart.edu Sacred Heart University seeks adjunct faculty to join our Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program (MSPAS). Position duties include teaching and coordinating activities related to the didactic phase of the program located in Stamford, CT. The program complements graduate programs in the College of Health Profession’s Athletic Training, Exercise Science & Nutrition, Healthcare Informatics, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Public Health, and Speech-Language Pathology programs. The College also offers undergraduate programs in Exercise Science and Health Science. In addition to academic excellence, the College has a rich tradition of service learning, study-abroad opportunities and faculty practice activities. Requirements: The candidate must hold a minimum of a Master’s degree, current NCCPA certification or national board certification in their profession, and have worked a minimum of two years as a licensed PA (three years preferred) or other profession a minimum of two years. Prior experience teaching in a PA program and familiarity with the ARC-PA accreditation process is desirable. Candidate must be eligible for licensure in Connecticut. Physicians, Advanced Practice Nurses (APRNs) and Licensed Health Care Professionals with teaching experience are also eligible to apply for this position. The candidate should be comfortable in a highly interactive teaching/learning environment that includes collaborative teaching, significant faculty/student interaction, and strong clinical integration. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
