Position Announcement: Physician Assistants for Cardiology Practice in Virginia Beach and Newport News
Overview:
We are currently seeking to recruit three (3) highly qualified Physician Assistants to join our Cardiology practice, serving the Virginia Beach and Newport News, VA communities. The successful candidates will play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary medical team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver appropriate medical care in alignment with physician directives.
– Administer medications as needed, and facilitate diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic interventions as required.
– Conduct minor outpatient procedures.
– Provide assistance during cardiac catheterization procedures (if needed0 and other specialized cardiology treatments.
– Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure the provision of holistic and continuous patient care.
– Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records, ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant with regulatory standards.
– Educate patients regarding their treatment plans, preventive healthcare strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
Experience:
– A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience as a Physician Assistant is required.
Required Competencies:
– Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) techniques.
– Extensive experience in medication administration and patient assessment.
– Proven experience in outpatient care settings and diagnostic evaluations.
– Competence in the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
– Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Board certification/ eligibility.
– Atleast 2 years of experience
