Full Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Physician Assistant will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with our medical staff, and promoting a culture of excellence and compassion. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in an orthopedic first assist role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
– Provide high-quality patient care, including conducting patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with our medical team.- Perform First Assist duties in the OR, rounding on in house patients at multiple facilities.- Manage patients care in the office and on an in patient status.- Administer IV infusions and other medications as prescribed by our physicians.- Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account individual needs and preferences.- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.- Assist in the management of the operating room, ensuring that all surgical procedures run smoothly and efficiently, and that all reps are notifed and covering the cases assigned.- Foster a patient-centered approach, prioritizing empathy and respect in all interactions.
Qualifications
– Current certification as a Physician Assistant.- Current and Active Texas license.- Experience in orthopedic surgery assist-preferrably spine surgery, running a full clinic independently, knowledge and experience in Internal Medicine.- Strong proficiency in surgical closures.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care and safety.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with medical staff and patients.
