Physician Assistant

Location: Geneva, IL (may also travel to additional locations)

Status: Full-time / Exempt

Days/Hours: Monday-Friday: hours vary depending on office location – including evenings and possible Saturday rotation

Summary

Responsible for assisting the physicians in providing quality patient care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform office evaluation of new patients and determine treatment plans in conjunction with the attending physician.
  • Perform follow-up care for previous patients of the practice and treat appropriately.
  • Assist in surgery at the Hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Center.
  • Perform pre-operative education and routine post-operative care.
  • Provide weekend coverage for hospital rounds and participate in daily rounds at the hospital.
  • Prescribe legend and controlled substances.
  • Order appropriate lab work and diagnostic testing. Monitor, review and interpret results of tests.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document care given to patients.
  • Complete hospital discharge summaries and admitting history and physicals.
  • Bill patients according to established procedures.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited physician assistant program.
  • Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois, certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and CPR certification.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an Orthopedic setting, including clinic and surgical experience.

Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Position location(s) may vary based on need (Elgin, Geneva, Algonquin, Huntley & Barrington, IL)

Status: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)

Days/Hours: Days and hours vary, including evenings and weekends

Summary

Responsible for assisting the clinic through the Fox Valley Orthopedics mission, vision, and values for developing a high performing team which consistently delivers growth and extraordinary customer outcomes. Incumbents in this role will have a direct reporting relationship to the clinic manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for day to day operations of the clinic, supervision of Subordinate (PTA, Tech) clinic staff in addition to a full schedule of patient treatment.
  • Meet or exceed clinic goals set by Integra Rehab Solutions and Clinic Manager related to operational performance metrics.
  • Cultivate relationships between staff and patients as well as the community.
  • Assist with building a team culture with a PT/ PTA/ Tech per Integra. Directs activities of PTA’s and Techs as needed for quality patient care, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures including CEUs, vacation/time off, punctuality/attendance.
  • Maintains appropriate confidentiality.
  • Notifies/documents patient discharge to doctors.
  • Support development of team members to ensure high quality of care while insuring good efficiencies and productivity per the prescribed metrics.
  • Develop individualized plans of care and treat patients through all phases of physical therapy with an emphasis towards compassionate, comprehensive, and evidenced based approaches, restoring patients to full functionality.
  • Complete daily patient care, progress, and discharge notes within 24 hours.
  • Provide continuous communication with referring physicians and other referral sources.
  • Participates in marketing services within Fox Valley Orthopedics as well as with outside of FVO for referral opportunities.
  • Maintain clinical logs and checklists necessary for compliance.
  • Provide excellent patient care as a primary goal and demonstrate and communicate these skills to your patient to provide an exceptional experience for your patients.
  • Exhibit a passion for physical therapy and patient outcomes while providing compassion for your patient’s understanding and progress toward their goals.

Education and/or Experience

Required:

  • A degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current active Physical Therapy license and license eligible to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Illinois

Preferred:

  • CPR/AED Certification
