Physician Assistant
Job Purpose:
At Orthopaedic Specialty Group, Physician Assistants provide outstanding orthopedic outpatient treatment and surgical care.
Job Duties:
- Carries an independent office schedule with MD on premises for support as needed. Includes new patients, new problems, pre- and post-operative care.
- Responsible for ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests including x-rays, MRIs, etc.
- Carries out orthopedic procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, casting, splinting, and bracing.
- Documents patient care via Electronic Medical Records.
- Responsibly prescribes medication, braces, and other orthopedic devices.
- Takes an active role in patient education.
- Contributes to team healthcare approach through quality, detailed work, effective documentation and oral communication.
Skills/Qualifications:
- NCCPA certification and CT License required.
- Ideal candidate must be able to thrive in fast-paced environment where quality patient care is essential.
- Orthopedic experience preferred, but will train strong candidate.
- Must be detail oriented and demonstrate the ability to apply orthopedic concepts.
- Must be capable of demonstrating professional composure in emergent or stressful situations.
- References are required.
