Job Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider will serve in a full-time role to provide care to patients on the Plastic Surgery service at the SUNY Upstate Community Hospital, Downtown, and 550 Harrison Center. There will be a component of first-assisting on surgical cases and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing expert level clinical care and coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care assessing and evaluating patients.
- Ordering appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic studies.
- Arranging for referrals, testing, consultation and therapeutic services.
- Maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians and all members of the health care team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner with Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) or Physician Assistant or eligible.
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required at time of appointment.
National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required at time of appointment.
NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
CPR-BLS and ACLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of plastic surgery or surgery experience preferred.

Monday – Friday, Days
