Full Job Description
Overview: You will work under the supervision of a physician as part of a team that cares for urgent care patients. Your duties will include examining and treating patients, diagnosing their conditions, prescribing medication, and arranging for follow-up care and specialist referrals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care to patients of all ages.
- Work with doctors, nurse practitioners, and psychologists.
- Perform physical exams and diagnose illnesses.
- Manage patient care and treatments.
- Prescribe medication and treatment plans.
- Refer patients to specialists when needed.
- Supervise nursing and support staff.
- Follow clinic policies and safety standards.
- Participate in health education and prevention programs.
- Order lab tests and other diagnostic tests.
- Coordinate patient care and referrals.
- Develop educational materials for patients and staff.
- Help set nursing standards and practices.
- Observe and record patient symptoms and progress.
- Know the legal and ethical standards of medical care.
- Be familiar with medications and how to prescribe them.
- Maintain quality and safety in patient care.
- Stay informed about current medical practices.
- Share on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Licensed MD/DO, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts.
- Certified to practice in an expanded role in Massachusetts.
- Certified in CLS or CPR/AED.
- 3-5 years of nursing experience in a specialty area.
- Good vision for observing patients’ health changes.

Pay: $150,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
