Full Job Description

Seeking an experienced Licensed Physician Assistant for an internal medicine practice looking to support and build our patient base and contribute to the growth of the practice. The Physician Assistant er will be responsible for ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, infections and injuries. Prescribing medications and other treatments. Supporting the management of patients’ overall care.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations on patients
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments
  • Develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide counseling and education to patients on health promotion and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and quality care for patients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Qualifications

– Valid Physician Assistant license in North Carolina

– Master’s degree in Nursing or related field

– Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty area (e.g., Family, Adult, Pediatric)

Skills:

– Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols

– Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work effectively in a team environment

– Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

– Proficient in ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation and billing purposes.

– Skilled in taking vital signs accurately to monitor patient health.

– Knowledge of disease management and family planning methods and counseling for reproductive health.

– Familiarity with laboratory procedures for specimen collection and analysis.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
