Work Schedule :

Days and Nights rotation with a weekend rotation. Day shift hours fall between 5:00 am- 7:00 pm and Night shift hours fall between 7:00 pm- 7:00 am. Includes additional compensation for night and weekend hours.

Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! As an Advanced Practice Provider, you’ll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  • Provide care to adult clinical and research patients on the Neurosurgery General Care unit, Neuro IMC and the Neuro ICU unit.
  • Work in collaboration with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to provide on-going patient care and management.
  • Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice including, but not limited to, the following: minor invasive procedures (e.g. sutures, blood draws, lumbar punctures), pump adjustments, adjustment, application, and removal of spinal stabilization devices, reprogramming of CSF shunts, and shunt taps.

Education :

Minimum –

If Nurse Practitioner:

Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner*:

  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Acute Care only (Adult or Adult/Gerontology will be considered only if previous ICU experience).

If Physician Assistant*:

  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.

  • Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
