    Harborview Medical Center’s (HMC) Cardiology and Electrophysiology clinic has an outstanding opportunity for an ARNP, Nurse Practitioner or PA-C, Physician Assistant Certified.

    WORK SCHEDULE:

  • 100% FTE (40 hrs/week), Day Shift

  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
    Located adjacent to the main medical center, the Heart Institute at Harborview Medical Center provides consultation and follow-up care for patients referred to the clinic for cardiac-related issues.

    Services include the evaluation and management of cardiac-related health problems, patient education, cardiac imaging; including heart catheterization and electrophysiology, stress testing and cardiac CT. Other services include anticoagulation monitoring, ECGs and echocardiography.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide patient care on both an inpatient and outpatient basis as dictated by clinical needs.
  • Participate in the clinical assessment, planning of care and treatment of the electrophysiology patient.
  • Collaborate with attending physician, fellows, residents, nursing staff, and other ARNPs/PAs to establish patient care plans and outpatient follow-up.
  • REQUIREMENTS:

  • Nurse Practitioner:
  • Master’s Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
    AND Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges
    AND National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
    AND ACLS certification

    OR

  • Physician Assistant:
  • Licensure as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Washington with national certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA).
    Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medial Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions.
