Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective anesthesia care across a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures, ensuring optimal sedation levels and vital signs stability.
- Conduct comprehensive preoperative patient assessments, including medical history review, physiology evaluation, and risk analysis.
- Manage airway techniques and ventilation equipment to maintain airway patency during procedures.
- Implement patient safety measures by adhering to infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and hospital policies.
- Respond swiftly to cardiac arrest emergencies and other critical incidents with appropriate resuscitation techniques.
- Document all anesthesia-related procedures accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms.
- Oversee postoperative recovery by monitoring vital signs, managing pain control, and ensuring patient stability before transfer or discharge.
- Perform IV insertions and manage patient pain levels.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure according to State Nursing Practice Acts.
- Certification as a Nurse Anesthesiologist (CRNA) with active registration from a recognized certifying body.
- Demonstrated critical care experience in settings such as Hospital or Office setting.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesiology principles, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology related to medication administration and pain management.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, medical equipment operation, and patient monitoring devices.
- Experience with airway management techniques and emergency response protocols for cardiac arrest or other life-threatening situations.
- Knowledge of Interventional Pain Management Procedures is a plus.
Demonstrate familiarity with the following procedures/injections that can help during administration of Anesthesia:
o Medial branch blocks
o Facet joint injections
o Sacroiliac joint injections
o Epidural steroid injections
o Nerve blocks
o Peripheral Nerve Stimulation
o Spinal Cord Stimulation
o Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty
o Trigger point injections
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining compliance with nursing policies and healthcare infection control standards.
