Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to determine health status and needs.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health.
• Administer injections, IV infusions, suturing, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and perform procedures like spinal taps and catheterizations with precision and sterile technique.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation and coding (CPT, ICD-9/10).
• Coordinate care through discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and working within hospital or outpatient settings including ICU, PICU, or emergency rooms.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, sonography, medical imaging, or specimen processing to inform treatment decisions.
• Engage in telehealth consultations and provide health coaching to support patient education and compliance.

Skills

• Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; proficiency in medical documentation and coding standards.
• Strong clinical skills in procedures including suturing, venipuncture, catheter care, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques.
• Knowledge of diverse medical fields including gastroenterology (e.g., gastric lavage), infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, and post-acute care.
• Ability to perform complex assessments involving physiology knowledge and diagnostic evaluation for patients of all ages—including pediatrics and neonatal ventilator management.
• Familiarity with advanced procedures such as cardiac catheterization or airway management; experience in emergency medicine or Level I/II trauma centers preferred.
• Competence in managing patients with developmental disabilities or memory care needs; experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.

Pay: $75,634.62 – $90,086.85 per year
