Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing private Allergy & Immunology practice. This provider will work closely with our board-certified allergists to deliver comprehensive outpatient care for pediatric and adult patients with allergic, respiratory, and immunologic conditions.
The ideal candidate is clinically confident, highly organized, and passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced private practice environment. Prior allergy experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong backgrounds in primary care, pulmonology, ENT, pediatrics, or internal medicine.
Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with:
- Environmental allergies
- Allergic rhinitis and sinus disease
- Asthma
- Food allergies
- Drug allergies
- Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
- Chronic urticaria and angioedema
- Eosinophilic disorders
- Immunodeficiency disorders
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies, pulmonary function testing, and allergy testing results.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations.
Allergy Testing & Procedures
- Perform and interpret allergy skin prick testing and intradermal testing.
- Supervise and monitor allergen immunotherapy (allergy shot) patients.
- Evaluate and manage immunotherapy reactions and treatment adjustments.
- Participate in oral food challenges, medication challenges, and other in-office procedures as appropriate.
- Assist with spirometry and interpretation of pulmonary function testing.
Biologic Therapy Management
- Identify candidates for biologic therapies.
- Initiate, monitor, and manage biologic treatments including:
- Xolair (omalizumab)
- Dupixent (dupilumab)
- Nucala (mepolizumab)
- Fasenra (benralizumab)
- Tezspire (tezepelumab)
- Monitor treatment efficacy, side effects, insurance approvals, and ongoing patient follow-up.
Patient Education
- Educate patients and families regarding:
- Allergy avoidance measures
- Asthma action plans
- Food allergy management
- Epinephrine auto-injector use
- Immunotherapy expectations and safety
- Biologic treatment plans
- Promote patient adherence and engagement in long-term disease management.
Practice Operations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Review laboratory and diagnostic results and communicate findings to patients.
- Respond to patient portal messages, prescription refill requests, and clinical inquiries.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and practice growth efforts.
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current state licensure and certification.
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred
- 1–3+ years of clinical experience.
- Previous experience in Allergy & Immunology, Pulmonology, ENT, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
- Experience with allergy testing, immunotherapy, and biologic medications.
- Strong EMR proficiency.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
