Responsibilities

• Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations to determine diagnosis and treatment needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical guidelines.
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice, including psychotropic agents, and manage medication administration following DEA regulations.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner) for accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical records, and clinical data collection.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations, interpret laboratory tests, imaging results, and diagnostic test interpretations to inform clinical decisions.
• Manage acute care situations such as triage, ventilator management, airway management, and critical care procedures within hospital or emergency settings.
• Engage in telehealth services to expand access to mental health care and medical consultations for diverse patient populations.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal health outcomes.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a Physician Assistant or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with current state licensing.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; experience with medical coding (CPT/ICD-10/ICD-9) is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments confidently.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments including urgent care settings or post-acute care facilities; hospital experience preferred.
• Critical thinking skills with experience in diagnostic evaluation and data management for research or clinical trials are advantageous.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
