Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner or PA
Part-Time · In-Person (Houston) · Wellness & Functional Medicine

iVitality MD is a boutique wellness and functional medicine clinic in Houston, founded alongside The Kidney Holistic Institute by Dr. Bismah Irfan, a double board-certified physician in internal medicine and nephrology. We help people get to the root cause of what’s holding their health back — through advanced testing, hormone optimization, IV and infusion therapies, peptides, and personalized, whole-person care. We don’t do “watch and wait.” We look past the surface to find the root cause and treat the whole person, not just the symptom. We’re a small, close-knit team that genuinely cares about our patients and about each other. The relationships we build — with patients and as a team — are part of how we heal.
Who You Are
You’re a Nurse Practitioner who lights up working directly with patients. You believe medicine should look deeper than the surface, and you’re excited — not hesitant — about functional and integrative care. You’re eager to build something, humble enough to own your growth, and the kind of clinician patients trust and come back to. What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on, patient-facing role. You will:
- Conduct patient intakes and consultations — getting to know patients, understanding their goals, and guiding their care
- Introduce patients to our wellness programs and enroll them into the right plan for their needs
- Provide hormone therapy — interpreting labs, prescribing, and managing treatment (estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, pellets, injections)
- Deliver IV and infusion therapies, including wellness drips and (with training) IV ozone and EBOO
- Apply functional and integrative approaches: peptides, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, and root-cause protocols
- Own your patient relationships through follow-up and continuity, so the patients you see return and stay engaged in their care
- Be an active partner in building the clinic — contributing to its growth, not waiting for the schedule to fill
A note on fit: This is an expert, entrepreneurial role — not a clock-in/clock-out one. You’ll be the experienced clinician our patients meet with, and part of your role is enrolling patients into programs and helping the practice grow. What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Active, unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner license (we are not accepting out-of-state candidates and are not offering visa sponsorship at this time)
- Active DEA license (required — this role prescribes hormones, peptides, and related therapies)
- Family Medicine NP background strongly preferred
- Comfort and competence with IV therapy and infusions
- A genuine interest in functional, integrative, and wellness medicine
Highly preferred / higher compensation considered:
- Experience with hormones, peptides, lifestyle medicine, and nutrition
- Background in IV therapy, urgent care, ER, infusion, med spa, or functional/integrative medicine

The Details
✅ Schedule: Part-time, starting with 2 days/week, with the opportunity to build up over the coming months
✅ Location: In-person at our Houston clinic (this is not a virtual position)
✅ Compensation: $65–$85/hour, W-2, based on experience. Higher compensation considered for candidates with IV therapy, urgent care, ER, infusion, med spa, or functional/integrative medicine experience.
✅ Performance bonuses: Performance-based bonuses available — we reward the people who help our patients and our practice thrive.

- Strong candidates are invited for a paid half-day shadow in the clinic, so we both get a real feel for the fit and flow.
- Based on that day, we’ll discuss next steps together.
