Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. In this role, you will collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive assessments, diagnose conditions, and implement treatment plans. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through efficient clinical evaluations, procedural skills, and compassionate care delivery. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring compliance with DEA regulations.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, injection administration (including botulinum toxin treatment), and aseptic techniques for various clinical scenarios.
  • Manage acute pain, airway issues, ventilator support, and critical care interventions within hospital or emergency settings.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluations including ordering and interpreting imaging studies, lab tests (ICD-10/ICD-9 coding), and conducting data collection for clinical research or quality improvement projects.
  • Participate in triage, urgent care, hospital medicine, ICU, neonatal ventilator management, and post-acute care planning.
  • Support patient education on health coaching, medication management, family planning, addiction counseling, and disease prevention strategies.

Qualifications

  • Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification; experience working under collaborative practice agreements preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with medical records management is essential.
  • Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure highly desirable; hospital experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and healthcare diagnosis procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with procedures like suturing, IV infusion, phlebotomy, spinal tap, dialysis management, and use of neonatal ventilators or PICU equipment preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations accurately while maintaining aseptic technique; excellent patient assessment skills required.
  • Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols, radiation therapy basics (if applicable), and telehealth platforms is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or outpatient clinics.
