Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a PACU position in Chattanooga, TN, requiring at least 2 years of experience with an ICU skill set and on-call availability.
Details
- 16-bed PACU unit staffed exclusively by RNs with no unit secretary or tech support
- Patient ratio is 1:2
- Bedside monitors and arterial lines (a-lines) are used on the unit
- Documentation is completed in Meditech
- 12-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, with call rotations
- No floating required
- OAS CAHPS patient experience standards apply
Requirements
- Active TN or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or ICU experience required
- ICU skill set required
- CCRN and CAPA certifications preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Anesthesia leads intubations performed on the unit
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
