Role Overview
As a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant, you will provide advanced evaluation and management of acute and chronic wounds across the care continuum — hospital, outpatient wound center, and post-acute settings. You’ll perform surgical bedside procedures, manage diagnostic workups, prescribe treatments, and coordinate interdisciplinary care.
This position offers both independence and support in a dynamic team that values clinical excellence and continuous growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced wound care evaluation and management for high-acuity and chronic wounds
- Perform bedside surgical debridement, I&D, biopsy, and other wound care procedures
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostics to guide care plans
- Prescribe treatments, medications, and durable equipment
- Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, therapy, and case management
- Document in wound-specific EMR with accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Oversee HBO therapy
Qualifications
- NP or PA license with ability to practice in Tennessee
- Experience in wound care, ICU, ER, surgery, or advanced acute care preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to perform autonomously
- Current BLS & ACLS
- Comfortable using EMR and mobile documentation
Compensation & Benefits
- $100,000–$170,000+ based on productivity
- wRVU-based earnings with uncapped income potential
