Full Job Description
ClariMed is a human factors consultancy that partners with medical device and pharmaceutical companies to develop safer and more user-friendly devices by conducting user participation and market research studies. We are urgently looking for Registered Nurses and Physician Assistants with experience treating adults with asthma to serve as an on-site healthcare professional in a simulated-use session for a new it in Chadds Ford, PA.
Patients will be using a set of placebo inhalers filled with propellant, but no active medicine during the session. Your role during each session:
- At the beginning of the session, the patient will be trained on the appropriate inhaler technique, after which you will verify that they can perform an inhalation with proper technique and where needed, correct any inhaler technique errors
- During the remainder of the session, you will not actively participate, but will be on standby in case of any event requiring medical attention occurs.
Sessions will take place at a research facility in Chadds Ford, PA. Sessions last 1 hour each and will take place over several days. Each day, 6 sessions will take place and you will be required to be present for 8 hours total. We are seeking multiple medical monitors, so you will not be required to attend every day- you will be able to select the days you can attend.
This is a temporary contract opportunity which will only last between one and eight days. Individuals who meet the initial criteria will be contacted for questioning to determine eligibility.
