Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, inquisitive, and affable Physician Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our highly regarded physician to deliver quality medical care to our patients. Your expertise and collaborative spirit will contribute significantly to our mission of improving the lives of those around us.
Key Responsibilities Under the Supervision of Our Physician:
– Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations for multi-organ system diseases.
– Diagnose a wide variety of rheumatologic conditions.
– Develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring alignment with best practices and patient preferences.
– Review lab results and outside records for high-risk medication monitoring.
– Review records and studies for accuracy and completeness prior to new patient appointments.
– Review diagnostic tests and procedure results following new patient appointments to formulate diagnoses and treatment plans prior to initial follow-up appointments.
– Educate patients and their families on their diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment options.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
– Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care.
– Supervise infusion services.
– Promote a healthy workplace culture.
– Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with medical advancements and enhance your professional development.
Qualifications:
– Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
– Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
– State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
– Strong generalized clinical skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with patients and team members.
– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
– Previous experience in rheumatology is NOT required.
