Job Summary
Northern Nurse Practitioners is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner to join our growing dermatology practice in Watertown, New York. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established, team-oriented practice dedicated to providing exceptional medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care.
The successful candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of skin conditions while developing lasting relationships with patients in a collaborative and supportive environment. Dermatology experience is preferred; however, we are willing to provide training for an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong desire to specialize in dermatology.
Duties
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage common and complex dermatologic conditions.
- Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications within New York State scope of practice.
- Perform dermatologic procedures appropriate to training and experience.
- Educate patients regarding treatment options, skin cancer prevention, and long-term skin health.
- Accurately document patient encounters using our electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and administrative staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal and state regulations.
- Participate in continuing education to remain current with advances in dermatologic care.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Dermatology experience is preferred but not required.
- New graduates with a strong interest in dermatology are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
