Job Summary

Northern Nurse Practitioners is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner to join our growing dermatology practice in Watertown, New York. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established, team-oriented practice dedicated to providing exceptional medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care.

The successful candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of skin conditions while developing lasting relationships with patients in a collaborative and supportive environment. Dermatology experience is preferred; however, we are willing to provide training for an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong desire to specialize in dermatology.

Duties

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage common and complex dermatologic conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications within New York State scope of practice.
  • Perform dermatologic procedures appropriate to training and experience.
  • Educate patients regarding treatment options, skin cancer prevention, and long-term skin health.
  • Accurately document patient encounters using our electronic medical record system.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and administrative staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Participate in continuing education to remain current with advances in dermatologic care.

Qualifications

  • Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Dermatology experience is preferred but not required.
  • New graduates with a strong interest in dermatology are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
