Position Details
- Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA)
- Specialty: Occupational Medicine
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Location: William Street, New York, NY (must be willing to float to Jersey City, NJ as needed)
- Pay: $55–$58/hour (All-Inclusive Rate)
- Meal Break: 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Weekends & Major Holidays Off
Responsibilities
As a Physician Assistant, you will provide comprehensive occupational health services for Port Authority and PATH employees, including:
- Perform injury-on-duty evaluations and assessments
- Conduct fitness-for-duty examinations
- Complete annual employee physical examinations
- Perform DOT and Non-DOT pre-employment and promotional physicals
- Conduct OSHA and federally mandated medical examinations
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat work-related illnesses and injuries
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Educate employees on workplace health, injury prevention, and wellness
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and occupational health regulations
- Provide follow-up care and return-to-work recommendations
Requirements
- Current Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in New York or New Jersey (must be valid for assigned work location)
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Medicine experience
- Experience performing occupational health physicals and medical evaluations
- Knowledge of DOT, Non-DOT, OSHA, and federally mandated examinations
Pay: $55.00 – $58.00 per hour
License/Certification:
- Certified Medical Examiner (Required)
