Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing multi specialty practice. You will provide direct patient care, discussing patient symptoms and concerns and performing thorough examinations to diagnose their medical problem and prescribe medication or create a treatment plan if necessary. When required, you will collaborate with our physicians to treat for more advanced illnesses or injuries.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree from an accredited nursing school, such as a Master of Science in nursing
  • Must have a current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in New York state
  • Must have the necessary specialty certification
  • 2-4 years of clinical work experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate new patient consultation and health history review
  • Perform physical examinations and screenings of patients
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, including x-rays, blood work, and scans.
  • Recommend further treatment options or future appointments if needed
  • Provide referrals to other practitioners when necessary
  • Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, immunizations, condition changes, etc.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong clinical assessment skills to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
  • Patient-Centered Care: A commitment to delivering patient-centered care and a compassionate bedside manner.
  • Competency in prescribing and managing medications, including knowledge of potential side effects and drug interactions.
  • Skill in providing health education and promoting wellness and prevention.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for accurate record-keeping and data management.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to make informed clinical decisions.
  • An understanding and respect for cultural diversity to provide equitable care to all patients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest medical advances and best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75.00 per hour
