Physician Assistant (PA) – Pediatrics | Part-Time / Per Diem
Location: Five Towns, NYSchedule: Part-Time / Per Diem (As Needed)Compensation: $80–$90 per hour
About Suffolk Primary Health
Suffolk Primary Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing pediatric team in the Five Towns. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider looking for flexible supplemental hours in a busy, well-established pediatric practice.
The ideal candidate will have prior pediatric experience, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Availability for Sunday and evening coverage is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Perform sick visits, follow-up appointments, and routine pediatric assessments
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within eClinicalWorks (ECW)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- Active New York Physician Assistant license
- Pediatric experience required
- Prior outpatient pediatric office experience strongly preferred
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Availability to work Sundays and evening shifts as needed
