Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across various medical settings, including hospital, outpatient, and urgent care environments. Duties

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to gather vital signs, medical histories, and current health status.
  • Assist in diagnosing illnesses by conducting diagnostic evaluations, ordering laboratory tests, imaging studies, and interpreting results using EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Administer medications, injections—including botulinum toxin treatments—and perform procedures like suturing, IV infusions, and airway management following aseptic techniques.
  • Manage acute pain cases, ventilator support, and critical care interventions in hospital settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers.
  • Coordinate patient care plans, discharge planning, and follow-up care while maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Support clinical research efforts by collecting data, managing clinical trials, and adhering to protocols aligned with NCQA standards.
  • Engage in telehealth consultations and provide health coaching for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal patients on ventilators or requiring specialized neonatal care.
  • Ensure proper CPT coding and ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for billing purposes while maintaining proficiency in medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation procedures.

Experience

  • Prior hospital experience in emergency medicine, medical-surgical units, or ICU settings is required; experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and data management.
  • Critical care experience involving ventilator management, airway management techniques, or neonatal ventilator support is essential.
  • Experience performing procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, spinal taps, dialysis access management, or dermal fillers is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols and infection control practices within hospital or outpatient environments.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate billing; experience with medical imaging interpretation is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology knowledge to support diagnostic evaluation and patient assessment across diverse clinical settings. Pay: $124,000.00 – $141,000.00 per year
