Job Title: Hospital Rounding Physician Assistant (PA) – Urology
Position Summary:
The Urology Physician Assistant is responsible for providing inpatient care to urology patients, including daily hospital rounds, clinical assessments, and coordination of care under the supervision of a urologist. This role focuses on managing acute and post-operative urologic conditions, ensuring continuity of care, and supporting efficient hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform daily hospital rounds on urology patients, including pre- and post-operative cases
· Conduct comprehensive history and physical exams
· Monitor patient progress and update care plans accordingly
· Write orders, progress notes, and discharge summaries
· Assist in coordinating patient care with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
· Respond to urology consults in the hospital setting
· Manage common urologic conditions such as urinary retention, hematuria, kidney stones, infections, and post-surgical care
· Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
· Assist in bedside procedures (e.g., catheter placement, bladder irrigation, wound care)
· Ensure timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
· Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (ARC-PA or equivalent)
· Current Nevada Physician Assistant license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
· Active certification through NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
· Must practice under a Nevada-compliant supervising physician agreement
· Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
· Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
· Strong communication skills and professional standing consistent with Nevada licensure requirement

· Preferred Experience (Optional):
· Experience in surgical or urology settings
· Familiarity with inpatient workflows and consult services
Pay: $110,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
