Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week day shift contract in Las Cruces, NM, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and a New Mexico license.
Details
- MRI Imaging department within an acute care hospital setting
- Serves both inpatient and outpatient populations
- Imaging studies include soft tissue, arterial system, brain, spine, joints, and extremities, with or without contrast media
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday through Wednesday
- After-hours and weekend on-call rotation required: approximately 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month
- EMR: Medhost
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of recent MRI Technologist experience
- Active BLS and MRT (Magnetic Resonance Imaging Registry through ARRT) certifications required
- Active New Mexico state license required; license required if applicable
- Graduate of an accredited AMA radiologic technology program preferred
- ARRT registration preferred
- Siemens MRI scanner experience preferred
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the contract start date
- Valid driver’s license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform timely MRI imaging services under the direction of a Radiologist and in accordance with departmental protocols
- Responsible for adjusting imaging parameters to optimize studies across a variety of anatomical regions
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Candidates with no gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months are preferred
- Travelers who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
