Full Job Description
The Role:
We are seeking engaging, part-time instructors to join our new year-round SAT prep program. As an instructor, you will teach high school students in small groups using our comprehensive Best Brains curriculum.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Teaching core Math concepts, such as Algebra and Geometry, as well as Evidence-Based Reading and Writing to 9th-11th graders.
– Guiding students through effective test-taking strategies, pacing techniques, and problem-solving methodologies.
– Administering and reviewing practice tests to assess student progress and identify areas for improvement.
– Maintaining a high-energy, positive, and conducive classroom environment that fosters student learning and engagement.
Qualifications:
– Strong proficiency in high school-level Math or English, with the ability to teach both subjects being a significant advantage.
– Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience is highly desirable.
– A high personal SAT or ACT score is preferred.
– Availability for weekday evening shifts (e.g., 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM) and/or weekend mornings is essential.
Compensation:
