Job Overview

West Windsor Primary Care, an affiliate of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Family Medicine/Internal Medicine practice on a 3-month contract beginning December 2026 and ending March 31, 2027.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative outpatient primary care setting while providing high-quality, patient-centered care. At the conclusion of the contract, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time permanent position, rotating between our West Windsor, Kendall Park, and Parsippany office locations.

Schedule

  • Contract Term: December 2026 – March 31, 2027
  • Office Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Schedule: 3–4 days per week
  • No evenings required during the contract term

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients across the lifespan in a Family Medicine/Internal Medicine setting
  • Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with New Jersey regulations
  • Provide preventive care, annual wellness visits, and health maintenance counseling
  • Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, asthma, and other common primary care illnesses
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow evidence-based clinical guidelines
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining high clinical standards

Qualifications

  • Current New Jersey Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Board certification as an NP or PA
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care preferred

Future Full-Time Opportunity

Following successful completion of the contract, candidates may be offered a full-time position within our practice. Full-time providers will rotate between our office locations in:

  • West Windsor
  • Kendall Park
  • Parsippany
