Position Highlights
- Primary weekday rounding schedule (Monday–Friday)
- Shared rotating weekend and evening call structure, primarily by phone
- Blend of admissions, daily rounding, follow-up care, and discharge planning
- Coverage across one primary affiliated hospital and select sub-acute facilities
- Collaborative physician-APP care model with graduated autonomy based on experience
What You Will Do
- Participate in inpatient admissions, daily rounding, patient management, and discharge planning
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic adult medical conditions
- Coordinate care with specialists and interdisciplinary teams
- Support efficient care transitions and continuity across inpatient and post-acute settings
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant EMR documentation
- Partner with Hospitalist physicians to optimize patient outcomes and care coordination
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program
- Current New Jersey licensure or eligibility to obtain
- NCCPA certification (PA) or national NP certification required
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner training strongly preferred for NP candidates
- Prior inpatient or Hospital Medicine experience preferred
- Experienced APPs strongly encouraged to apply
- Strong graduating APPs with inpatient clinical training and interest in Hospital Medicine welcomed

Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
