Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider Perioperative Team Lead will serve in a full-time role to provide care to patients in our Peri-operative medical/surgical home located at 550 Harrison Center. The APP Team Lead will be providing direct patient care as well as administrative responsibilities to include education, collaboration with all key stakeholders in the department, and development and implementation of new policies and procedures within the department. Responsibilities include providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire).

1-2 years of leadership training and leadership experience. Pre-Admission Testing and/or surgical experience.

CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the implementation of new programs preferred. Excellent computer skills preferred.
