Full Job Description

The Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Molloy University is pleased to invite applications for the position of Director for the Physician Assistant Program to join our supportive, energetic, interdisciplinary community of teacher-scholars. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences offers an array of nursing, allied health and communication sciences programs at the bachelors, masters, and doctoral levels. Exciting new programs in the health sciences are being explored and planned. The Director of the Physician Assistant (PA) Program will be responsible for creation, development, accreditation, operationalization, and management of a new PA program at Molloy University. The ideal candidate will have a background in clinical practice, as well as deep experience in academic administration, leadership, program development, accreditation, and program assessment. The applicant will also demonstrate evidence of teaching and curriculum expertise, faculty development and mentorship competencies, as well as enthusiasm for inter-professional collaboration.

Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences take a holistic and personal approach to the development of students as clinicians, leaders, researchers, advocates for health equity and improvement of healthcare, and as lifelong learners. The ideal candidate will also share this commitment.

This is a 12-month position with academic rank based on credentials.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Eligible for unrestricted licensure as a Physician Assistant in NY State.
  • Relevant doctoral degree preferred.
  • Experience in academic administration, health professions teaching, and faculty development.
