Full Job Description

Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team supporting our Vascular Team. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will provide primary healthcare services to patients, including conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating common acute illnesses and injuries, and prescribing medications.

Must have ability to travel throughout Queens and Nassau County (1 facility a day)

Responsibilities:

  • Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs
  • Assists with the provision of care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations
  • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions
  • Maintains relationships with all appropriate contacts in facilities
  • Educates family members, clients, and prospective accounts regarding services and programs offered by Medical PLLC
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of physician relations, as assigned
  • Completes weekly, monthly, and other reports, as assigned, in a timely and comprehensive manner

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program required
  • Current NP/PA License required in the State of New York
  • BLS – Basic Life Support through American Heart Association desired
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support through American Heart Association desired
  • Current Infection Control Certification required
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible required
  • Physical, Vaccines and Titers: PPD/TB, COVID, Flu, Hep B, MMR, Varicella required
  • 1 year of NP experience preferred

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $165,000.00 per year
