Physician Assistant I– Neurosurgery – Full Time

We’re seeking an experienced PA to take front line responsibility. Together, we use our brains and hearts to provide the highest level of care imaginable. In the process, experience all the reasons we entered our noble field.
A leader in high-tech computerized diagnostic and treatment methods, the Weill Cornell Medicine Brain and Spine team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital treats the full spectrum of neurological disease — from brain tumors, spine tumors; stroke, aneurysms and cerebrovascular disorders and epilepsy to Parkinson’s disease, MS, and other movement disorders. As a Neurosurgery PA at NYP Queens Hospital, you will manage all aspects of care for patients on the neurosurgical team, including floor management of complex inpatients, responding to neurosurgical emergencies including trauma and stroke, and first assisting in the OR. This position is a Full-Time, 37.5 hours a week opportunity. This position will be three 12 Hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM with one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month. You have to be comfortable supporting Queens Medical Group Practices and Neurosurgery coverage at the hospital.
Preferred Criteria:
- Neurosurgical experience preferred
Required Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies
- Current NYS licensure
- NCCPA certification
- DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) registration number
- ACLS/BLS

Salary Range:
$122,000-$155,000/Annual
