- Assesses the health status of patients/families by means of a comprehensive health history and physical examination
- Initiates selected therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations and laboratory examinations
- Prescribes/alters medication regimens, interprets finding and alters plan-of-care according to collaborative practice agreement and protocols in designated specialty
- Provides teaching and counseling in the areas of health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses
- Documents findings and plan-of-care in patient’s medical record
- Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plan
- Performs a patient record review with the collaborating physician in a timely fashion
- Advocates for patients/families and supports patients’ rights
- Acts as a resource and leader to staff
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Master of Science Degree from and accredited Nursing Program (MSN)
- NYS Registered Nurse License
- NYS Nurse Practitioner License
- Board Certification/Board Eligible in Advanced Nursing (ANA, ANCC, AANP, PNCB)
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program (PA)
- NYS Physician Assistant License
- Board Certified Physician Assistant (NCPAA)
- Current DEA Registration
- Pediatric Medical Office or Family Medicine experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, PALS a plus
- Experience with EMR systems required; Athena Practice preferred
- High level of professionalism when performing all duties
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking, customer service, time management, and organization skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must possess attention to detail and quality focus.

Compensation $60,000 – $120,000 Commensurate with experience and dependent on schedule
