OB SUMMARY

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for the CCU / Heart Failure and Transplant Service works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team and is responsible for providing comprehensive and age appropriate direct care and follow up to a population of patients. The components of the role include clinical practice, consultation, professional development, education, and research. The APP works in conjunction with the Cardiology and Heart Failure and Transplant Attendings performing patient consults and follow up care. Clinical core privileges will include the management, treatment, and ordering, performing, and interpreting labs, radiography, and other diagnostics test for acute critical care disorders in the adult critical care population.

EDUCATION

Graduate of an APN or PA accredited program

APN or PA Certification licensure

Master’s Degree

BLS Certification

ACLS Certification

REQUIREMENTS

Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills

Goal and outcome oriented

Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members
