The Family Practice & Pediatric clinics at the LiveStock Exchange Campus, the Cass County (Plattsmouth) satellite clinic, and the Northwest satellite clinic are looking for an experienced Physician Assistant to help us achieve our goal of providing excellent healthcare to the underserved in our community.
The PA works as part of the medical provider team performing a variety of direct primary care services to patients. This includes physical examinations, assessment, diagnosis, treatment plans, medication management, lab review, and/or referrals including hospitalization when necessary. The PA also monitors the general management plan for assigned patients. The PA performs these functions under the general supervision of a licensed physician.
These are two full-time positions (40 hours/week) located at our Family Practice clinic in Omaha and Bellevue, Nebraska.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies required. Degree must be from an accredited school whose program is recognized by the state.
- License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Nebraska required. (Or license eligible.)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Two or more years of clinical experience either preferred or required, depending on clinic location.
- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products required; experience with an Electronic Health Record preferred.
- Proficiency in English required.
- Proficiency in Spanish either preferred or required, depending on clinic location. If required, must be able to speak enough Spanish to examine Spanish-speaking patients and converse on a basic level.
- Demonstrated ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to culturally diverse patients as well as other OWCHC providers and staff members.
